These are Hello! Canada readers' favourite memories of the royals visiting Canada

Happy Canada Day! This would have been Princess Diana's 59th birthday, and she would be very proud of her sons, Prince William and Prince Harry. Fittingly, all three feature prominently in the results of a new poll in which we asked our readers to pick their favourite memory from past royal tours of Canada.

William's royal tour of Canada with Duchess Kate and Prince George and Princess Charlotte was our readers' favourite overall tour memory, with nearly 34 per cent of voters picking it as their top choice. If you'll remember back to 2016, the Cambridges came here together to tour the country. At the time, George and Charlotte were very small, but stole hearts at every appearance. Royal watchers loved seeing them blowing bubbles and making balloon animals at a party, and waving goodbye as they got on a seaplane with their parents to head home.

Royal children show up again at number 2, which went to Harry and William's visit to Niagara Falls with Diana in 1992. At the time, the family captured the hearts of Canadians when they went on the Maid of the Mist and were photographed beaming from ear-to-ear. Always the loving mother, Diana made sure her children always did normal things, whether it was going on tourist attractions during trips or going to amusement parks – like they did at Canada's Wonderland on the same visit. It was Harry's first ever time in Canada, and it must have been memorable. He continued to visit the country, and has made many more amazing memories here, including with Duchess Meghan and Archie, his son.

William and Kate's 2011 tour of Canada, which was their first overseas trip as a married couple, came in third. If you remember back to that trip, it featured the newlyweds visiting the Calgary Stampede and engaging in their famous competitive streak by doing some canoeing.

Meghan and Harry's debut as a couple at the 2017 Invictus Games in Toronto came in fourth. At the time, royal watchers were thrilled to see the couple show up at Nathan Phillips Square in Canada's largest city holding hands! They sat and watched one of the events while whispering in each other's ears, looking very much in love. Just a few months later, they announced their engagement.

Prince Charles and Diana's 1983 tour of Canada rounds out the top five. On that trip, the couple visited Edmonton and Diana thrilled fans by stepping out in a Klondike era dress!
