The jumpsuit that gave me a "DIBS!" moment at Pink Tartan

Few shows can inspire me to shout “DIBS!” as a model walks down the catwalk…okay several shows can inspire me to shout “DIBS!” but last night’s Pink Tartan show took the sartorial cake.

The object of my affection? A fringe-covered jumpsuit that Canadian model Dauphine McKee wore to close the show. It was Pink Tartan’s version of a fashionable mic-drop and kicked off Toronto Fashion Week in spectacular style. #gasp

Not only was the flowing fabrication made for slow-motion video (appreciative nod to all those with the new iPhone 6), but the seventies-meets-rock vibe was the perfect summation of Kimberly Newport Mimran’s entire spring/summer 2015 collection.

“I did a nod to the ’70s, but definitely in a really modern way which is a little bit of a departure for me,” Kimberley says of the new look. “This is a strong collection for strong girls.”

Please excuse me while I douse myself in patchouli and listen to a rock-anthem playlist for the rest of the evening.
